The coil-uncoiling, leveling, feeding, and laser blanking line is an intelligent processing system that highly integrates coil uncoiling, leveling, precision feeding, and laser cutting. It uses metal coils as raw material and continuously feeds the material into the laser cutting zone via a servo-driven feeding system, enabling a one-stop production process where “coils go in and finished products come out.”
This production line completely eliminates the reliance on dies found in traditional stamping processes. It allows for rapid program-based switching between parts of any shape without the need for die changes, making it particularly suitable for high-mix, low-volume, and customized production scenarios. Compared to traditional shearing or stamping blanking, material utilization can be improved by 5%–15%, and the cut edges are free of burrs and scratches, meeting the high-quality surface requirements for automotive outer panels, home appliance panels, and similar applications.
Uncoiling and Feeding: A hydraulic uncoiler, in conjunction with idler rollers and a pressure arm, smoothly uncoils the steel coil and continuously feeds the material, ensuring stable coil tension and preventing misalignment.
Leveling + Power Feeding (Core Structure): After entering the precision leveling machine, the sheet metal passes through multiple layers of interlaced working rollers to eliminate internal stresses and correct warping and waviness. The entire machine utilizes self-driven leveling roller sets to simultaneously level and feed the sheet material at a uniform, synchronized speed into the laser cutting station. This ensures smooth feeding without slippage or scratches, and achieves higher positioning consistency.
Precise servo feeding and positioning, combined with servo length measurement and roller track interlocking control, enable continuous sheet feeding, ensuring accurate cutting start points and stable dimensions.
Laser Blanking and Forming: A high-power fiber laser cutter performs non-contact cutting on the sheet metal, enabling one-time blanking of irregular-shaped parts, multi-hole parts, and complex contours without the need for secondary processing.
Discharge and Sorting: Finished parts and scrap are automatically separated after cutting and discharged via conveyor rollers. The system can be integrated with a receiving table and scrap collection device to achieve automated material handling.
The leveling machine features built-in powered rollers to directly handle feeding, eliminating the need for a separate feeder. This results in a more compact overall structure, reduced floor space, lower failure rates, and smoother, more stable sheet metal conveyance.
Compared to traditional shearing or punch press blanking, this process allows for seamless switching between part shapes without changing dies. It offers rapid changeovers and strong adaptability, making it particularly suitable for high-mix, low-volume, and highly flexible production.
Utilizing non-contact laser cutting eliminates squeezing and deformation. Combined with precision leveling, this ensures high sheet flatness and clean cut edges, significantly improving the quality of subsequent processes such as welding, bending, and assembly.
Fully automated operation—from uncoiling, leveling, and feeding to laser cutting and unloading—is completed seamlessly in one continuous process, reducing manual intervention and improving production efficiency and operational safety.
It reliably processes a variety of metal coils, including cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum, meeting the needs of industries such as sheet metal fabrication, hardware, home appliances, and automotive parts.
Supports intelligent nesting and common-edge cutting to fully utilize sheet area, minimize scrap from edges and corners, and significantly improve material utilization. Long-term use effectively reduces production costs.
This production line has become a cornerstone of modern industrial manufacturing and is widely used in:
Automotive OEMs and Parts: Automotive chassis structural components, seat slides, battery trays, door impact beams, motor cores, etc.
New Energy and Energy Storage: Side panels for energy storage containers, battery module housings, and sheet metal components for charging stations.
Home Appliances and Elevators: Refrigerator door panels, washing machine inner drums, and elevator car wall panels.
Construction Machinery and Agricultural Machinery: Tractor body panels and structural components for excavator cabs.
Metal Distribution Center: Provides custom-sized blanking services for downstream customers, enabling high-value-added distribution of steel products.
What materials is this production line suitable for processing?
It can process common metal coils such as cold-rolled sheet, hot-rolled sheet, stainless steel, galvanized sheet, and aluminum sheet. The sheet thickness range can be customized based on the machine model, meeting the needs of most sheet metal industries.
How is material feeding handled? Is an additional feeder required?
No separate feeder is required. Feeding is performed directly by the powered rollers integrated into the leveling machine. Leveling and feeding occur simultaneously, resulting in a simpler structure and more stable feeding.
What level of processing accuracy can be achieved? What is the surface quality like?
Laser non-contact cutting eliminates deformation caused by compression. Combined with precision leveling, the sheet metal achieves high flatness and clean, burr-free cut edges, making it suitable for direct welding, bending, and assembly.
Can special widths, thicknesses, or lengths be customized?
We support non-standard customization. We can tailor production lines to specific specifications based on the customer’s sheet width, thickness, cutting dimensions, and production volume requirements.
