Recently, a leveling machine custom-built to meet a customer’s specific requirements successfully passed factory inspection and is set to be shipped to the customer’s production site. This machine not only breaks through the size limitations of conventional leveling machines but also provides reliable support for the customer’s precision material processing through precise parameter matching and an innovative conveyor design.

I. Custom Parameters: Breaking the Mold, Precise Adaptation

Conventional leveling machines typically have a feed width of 100 mm or more, whereas this custom-built machine features a feed width of just 60 mm and a roller diameter of 20 mm—a non-standard, compact design. This “small yet precise” combination of parameters is specifically tailored for the customer’s ultra-thin, ultra-narrow metal strips (such as copper foil for precision electronic components and stainless steel strips), ensuring efficient leveling within confined spaces. At the same time, the equipment’s leveling thickness range spans 0.3–5 mm, enabling it to process both extremely thin 0.3-mm materials (while preventing deformation and damage) and medium-to-thick 5-mm sheets (ensuring flatness), thereby meeting the customer’s processing needs for a wide variety of materials.

II. Innovative Design: Belt Conveyor + Intelligent Control for Enhanced Efficiency and Stability

To address the issues of misalignment and scratches that often occur during the conveyance of narrow-width materials, the equipment specifically employs a belt conveyor as the feeding platform. Compared to traditional roller conveyors, belt conveyors offer the advantages of a larger contact area and uniform friction, effectively preventing thin materials from drifting off course while avoiding indentations on the material surface caused by metal rollers. This makes them particularly suitable for precision materials with high surface quality requirements (such as optical films and lithium-ion battery electrodes).

In addition, the equipment is equipped with a touchscreen control system that allows for real-time adjustment of parameters such as leveling speed and pressure, featuring a simple and intuitive user interface. The three-color warning light on top provides timely feedback on the equipment’s operating status (green for normal operation, yellow for standby, and red for a malfunction), enabling operators to respond quickly and minimize downtime.

III. Case Study Extension: Solutions Evolving from “Special Requirements” to “Industry-Wide Applications”

This custom-built 60mm narrow-width leveling machine is not an isolated case. In past projects, we customized a lithium-ion electrode sheet leveling machine for a new energy company with a feed width of 80 mm and a leveling thickness of 0.1–2 mm, resolving battery assembly challenges caused by curled electrode sheets; we also developed a miniature leveling machine with a roller diameter of 15 mm and a feed width of 50 mm for a precision hardware factory, used for flattening stainless steel strips for mobile phone SIM card holders. These cases demonstrate that customized designs tailored to specific specifications not only resolve customers’ “pain points” but also serve as “benchmark solutions” in niche industry segments.

IV. Shipment Imminent: End-to-End Support from Factory to Production Line

Currently, the equipment has completed assembly, commissioning, and load testing, with all parameters meeting customer requirements. The packaging consists of shock-resistant wooden crates lined with foam to ensure that precision components remain undamaged during transport; the included operating manual, maintenance guide, and spare parts list will help customers get up and running quickly. Moving forward, our technical team will provide remote guidance or on-site installation services to ensure the equipment is successfully put into production.
